Description

Extremely rare, brand new, Nespresso D150 espresso machine with "Welcome set". Commercial or household use. This is one of the original machines from the early 2000's. It looks and works like a regular espresso machine, with a filter holder and a built-in steamer, but it takes only Nespresso Original capsules, which are widely available from Nespresso or any number of other manufacturers, such as Starbucks, Lavazza, Bestpresso, etc. It will not work with the larger, round-bottomed Nespresso "Vertuo" pods. See pictures: it comes with two Nespresso cups and saucers made in Germany, a couple of tools for cleaning and unclogging. No need for a separate milk frother as this comes with a built-in steamer like traditional espresso machines, so it makes more "real" foam than the so-called frothers for cappuccino and other drinks. People on Reddit say they have had theirs for 10-15 years or longer with no problems. Please note: It also comes with two sleeves of capsules, but the "best-by date" is over 20 years past, so I would not recommend using them for drinking. I am only leaving them in the package so it remains complete. I opened one of the sleeves to inspect if the capsules were leaking or bulging, or whatever, after over 20 years, but there is no visible problem or smell. Chances are they just lost their taste, but I would still not recommend using them anyway. Nice souvenir for someone maybe.
